Dos & Don'ts When You Are Using Dumpster Rental Services

Do: Be Prepared
If possible, plan well in advance for your dumpster rental needs. Think about what you will need to dispose of, considering that large items take up more space and lots of small items make for a heavier load. Whether you need a business dumpster or a house clean-out dumpster, it’s best to plan ahead.

Plan on where you are going to want the dumpster rental placed, checking for any low overhead wires or tree limbs that could cause placement issues.

If space is limited, be sure that you’ll have enough room to access your garage door and driveway. Make sure that your desired dumpster location is a hard, flat surface.

If you are concerned about rain or snow getting into the dumpster rental, purchase a plastic tarp that will fit over the dumpster to keep the rain and snow out.

Please keep safety in mind while loading up your dumpster rental.

Don’t: EVER Overload Business or Residential Dumpsters

Loading must be level with the sides of the dumpster, as it must be covered with a tarp before it can be hauled away. Do not place any hazardous materials, such as asbestos, chemicals, paints, or liquids of any kind in the dumpster rental.

A partial list of allowed items and prohibited items can be found on the terms and conditions section of our website.

Do not attempt to move the dumpster. If, for some reason, you need the dumpster to be moved, please call customer service and we will coordinate this for your property.

Pricing and Extra Charge Information for Dumpster Rentals and Roll-Off Containers

Dumpster and roll-off container pricing depends on the container size, weight limit, and the length of the time rented (rental days). Every size dumpster comes with a different weight limit, and weight allowances are predetermined based on the averages for each specific size. All dumpster rentals are weighed at the disposal facilities.

If your materials weigh more than your allowance, you will be charged the difference prorated. If you have the dumpster rental for longer than the term in which you rented it, there are additional daily/monthly charges that apply.

For example, if you have a 7-day rental and you need it for an extra 3 days; you would be charged a daily fee for each of the 3 extra days. If you need a container for an extra 10 days, you would be charged for the 10 days at the daily rate.

All standard dumpster rentals will not be removed until you call for a removal.

Our customer service representatives can inform you of the potential extra rental day charges when you place your order. Please call and ask what the potential charges may be if you are unsure.
